when using the free shipping link, the "shipping" charges were removed however, "handling" charges were shown as $3.95 (plus 1.95 priority service option, if chosen). in my individual case the $9.95 "shipping and handling" charges were reduced to $3.95 "handling" only. in light of same, the currently active "save $9 on order of $45 or more" worked out more economically.

There is no free shipping offered.
