West Marine is required by law to charge sales tax in any state we have a physical presence. Companies are required by the state and local tax authority to pay sales tax on all items that are sold in or shipped to a location within a state that has a physical presence. Since we have more than 250 stores across the United States, we are required to charge State sales tax on all purchases made in States in which we have stores or warehouses.

Gift certificates - Sorry, but at this time we cannot accept gift certificates online. They can be used for catalog orders by calling 1-800-boating or in any of our stores. Credit cards - We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, JCB and of course the West Marine credit card. Check or money order - If you'd like to pay by check or money order, please phone us at 1-800-BOATING and we'd be happy to take your order, or visit the store nearest you.

How Do I Return Or Exchange An Item? You may return your purchase to one of our stores or through our online store. To find the store nearest you, visit our "Store Locator" in the About West Marine section. Please complete the following process: Fill out the return form on the reverse side of your invoice. Please include the reason for the return. Make sure your name and address are correct on the invoice. Include your phone number or e-mail address in case we need to contact you. Enclose the invoice (or a copy) with your return, and send it to the address listed below that?s nearest you. Please ship your parcel via a traceable shipping method. Returns received after 60 days will be assessed a 20% restocking fee. West Marine will not pay for return shipping charges unless the return is due to our error in your order. All special orders and dropships will be assessed a 20% restocking fee. Return shipping charges will not be credited.
