 Throughout my late teens and into my mid 20's I always owned classic cars. Specifically I owned Dodge models from the late 60's (and one 1962 Mercury Monterey, gosh what a boat!). As an adult I've found that reliability holds precedence in my life over style. That being said I miss those cars, I really do. I was speaking about them to my wife just the other day, and I kid you not my eyes got pretty misty.
This being the case I was easily caught up with my friend Jeremy's excitement as he told me about the 1970 Dodge Sportsman van that he recently purchased. The vehicle is actually rather sound mechanically but man oh man does it need a cosmetic upgrade. Oh, and it's missing a door handle and the other one sticks something awful. This will definitely be an ongoing project I am sure.
The other day I was visiting with him and we decided to "handle" the door jam situation. This actually turned out to be a little harder than we initially thought! Door handles are expensive! That is if you can find them for a vintage 1970 van, luckily Auto Parts Warehouse came to our rescue. They carried the replacement door handle for the 1970 Dodge Sportsman, and it was only $33.19 marked down from $86.10! This saved Jeremy over $52 per piece!
